Good Friday Service
April 10, 2020

First Corinthians 11:23-24 says: “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’” Obviously, that was a reference to the Lord’s Supper which we take regularly at Grace Fellowship Church, but there was a greater principle behind it: we should continually remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. We should continually remember what He did for us at Calvary.
And there is no better time to do that than during the holiday of Easter. Easter is a time when we remember what Jesus did for us at Calvary. It is a time when we celebrate His substitutionary death and victorious resurrection from the tomb.
With that in mind, we have been invited to take part in a combined Good Friday Service with Mission Bible Fellowship and Prairie Chapel. It will be held on Friday, April 10, at 10:30 am at Prairie Chapel. The address is 1929 Interprovincial Hwy, Abbotsford, BC V3G 2H7. Pastor Mike Chalmers of Prairie Chapel will be preaching.
Grace Fellowship will be celebrating Christ's resurrection together on Sunday, April 12.
Please mark these dates on your calendars and invite your friends, family and neigbours. This is a wonderful time of year to celebrate and tell others about Jesus!
Revelation 1:17-18 says:
“When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, ‘Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.’”
Everyone is welcome to stay for fellowship and refreshments after the service.
