A group of scholars in England was once discussing what made Christianity unique among the religions of the world. One said it was the Trinity. Another said it was the Deity of Christ. Still another said it was the Bible and all that it contains. After the discussion had gone on for some time and they had not come to a definite conclusion, C. S. Lewis spoke up and said, “The answer is simple. It is grace.”
The grace of God does make Christianity stand out among the religions of the world. It makes it unique and different, and it makes Christians different too. God’s grace changes us, as Titus 2 talks about. In this important chapter, the Apostle Paul says that God’s grace changes everyone in the church including the older men (verse 2), the older women (verse 3), the younger women (verses 4-5), and the younger men (verses 6-8). Nothing is left out of its influence. No one is left out of its grip, which is what we will be talking about this week at Grace Fellowship Church.
Have you ever wondered what makes Christianity so different among the religions of the world? Have you ever wondered what makes it so unique? The answer is grace. Christianity is the only religion that says that salvation is entirely of grace. It is the only religion that says that our new life is entirely dependent upon God. On a related note: would you like to have a new life today? Would you like to be changed and different? Paul says that you can be by the grace of God. God can change you and make you different if you simply trust in Him and believe in His Son. This is what we will be talking about on Sunday morning at 9:30. We meet at 46024 Riverside Drive in Chilliwack. Bring your Bibles and a heart that wants to learn more about His grace. See you there! – Jeremy Cagle
