Titus 1:4-6

Titus 1;4-6

Several years ago, Forbes Magazine published a list of eight qualities that make a great leader. The list included:

1) Enthusiasm
2) Integrity
3) Great Communication Skills
4) Loyalty
5) Decisiveness
6) Managerial Competence
7) Empowerment
8) Charisma

The Bible has its own list of qualities that make a great leader and it is found in Titus 1. There Paul writes in verse 7, “For the overseer must be above reproach, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain . . .” In other words, this is what God looks for in a leader. This is what He looks for in an overseer of His church. A man must have character. He must live a life of integrity before the Lord and his life must match his words. That is what we will be talking about this week at Grace Fellowship Church.

Have you ever wondered what God looks for in a leader? Have you ever wondered what qualities He is after? Come join us this Sunday morning as we talk about that. Join us as we study what the Bible says about leadership. Would you like to learn what a man of God is supposed to look like? Would you like to see a description of true Christian character? None of these leadership qualities are anything special (except for the ability to teach in verse 9). All of them can be found in any sincere Christian. Come learn about that as well. Learn what the Bible says about living a life of character.

We meet at 9:30 at 46024 Riverside Drive in Chilliwack. Bring your Bibles and a hungry heart and a desire to learn more from God’s Word. – Jeremy Cagle
